A foot of fresh snow and very cold temperatures made for a great
weekend of skiing! We skied Heavenly and the surrounding stashes on
Saturday and did the Carson Pass to Kirkwood traverse on Sunday
(previously had done it in the spring time, now the hope was to get
nice cold powder). Sadly the wind had scoured most of the terrain,
so the ski quality wasn't as amazing as hoped, until the final bowl
into Emigrant Lake (which was pure bliss of perfect powder!)
This traverse is a great day and the weather and views are
fantastic! Tour stats
here and here.
