We spent a few more days after New Year's at Joshua Tree, camping and rock climbing! Sadly, that had to end and we drove north a few days before school/work was going to resume. We had to wait out a big storm which had 395 closed, and we spent two nights at Keough's Hot Springs near Bishop - an awesome spot to soak! The 2nd morning, we woke up to blue skies and used the break in the weather to drive home. We still had to go through Hawthorne, as 395 was closed north of Lee Vining (a pattern this winter; at one point in March it was closed for a month due to avalanches!)

The rest of the month had several other fun weekends playing in the snow... locally (Sugarbowl, Palisades) and at Virginia Lakes/June Mountain.
