October started with a weekend of camping at Sardine Lake! We enjoyed the warm camping weather, and the dads rode Downieville. The following weekend we went to San Francisco for a day to see the Blue Angels during Fleet Week (we should probably spend more time next time!) - the kids loved it! There was another weekend of warm weather, and we capitalized on it by going to Tuolumne and cragging.
Afterwards, we got a record snowstorm for October which delivered 3-4 feet of snow at the higher elevations and around 2 feet in Truckee. Mammoth and Palisades Tahoe opened for the weekend, and we spend Saturday skiing at Mammoth where the kids also got to meet Woolly, the mascot! We did not forget to carve pumpkins, and loved touring the neighborhood dressed up :) Bodie was a Narwall, Zoe was a Jellyfish, and Melissa was a diver. I pulled a last minute cardboard box costume together and became a shark... the family theme for Halloween continues!
