Red Rocks
Dark Shadows, 5.8 and sport climbing
November 2-4, 2007

We wanted to get some climbing in, and Meder had never been to Vegas, so we booked tickets last minute. We stayed at a cheap hotel on the strip and walked around both Friday and Saturday nights, enjoying how ridiculous Vegas looks at night. We even watched the Treasure Island show!

On Saturday, we got a late start and climbed the first four pitches (what most people do) of Dark Shadows, 5.8. Quite an excellent climb! On Sunday we chilled at The Gallery and sport climbed on some of the easier routes. Meder took some awesome shots in the process.

The trip was topped off with a great feast of fajitas at the Red Rock Casino before we had to run to the airport. Yummy!
